Greece is known for its superfluous of ancient ruins, spectacular beaches, whitewashed villages, and their Greek cuisine etc. Greece is made up of a hilly mainland and numerous numbers of islands. Here is an outline of the best places to travel in Greece.

Cape Sounion is best recognized for the relics of the prehistoric Greek temple of Poseidon and according to the fable of Cape Sounion, it is the place where the son of King of Aegeas, leapt to his death off the cliff. Visit the Peloponnese; it was customarily called Morea meaning a mulberry leaf. The island is also shaped like a leaf. It is situated in the southernmost part of both Europe and Greece. Peloponnese is a vast peninsula linked to the mainland by the Rio-Antirrio bridge. It offers traditional Greek temples, Byzantine churches, Venetian citadel and Mycenaean palaces. Peloponnese reflects the ancient cultures and events from history.
